Oh no my drain field has failed! Do I have to replace the field? NO - fix your field in less than a day at a fraction of the cost and no digging

When drain fields fail it can be a huge head ache. Sewage in the yard or backing up into the house. YUCK! not to mention the painful $$$$$ that it costs to replace a drain field.

What most people think when their drain field fails is that they need to spend a lot of money to have it dug up and replaced. Not True!

Did you know you can rejuvenate your drain field without any of the head aches of a drain field replacement? No excavation, no blocked driveways, no delays, no lost rent or revenue AND at a much lower cost.

In less than a day and at a fraction of the cost of a new drain field,  Septic Doc can have your drain field immediately back to full functionality. We are so confident in the process that we offer a drain field warranty for 2 years. That's right, we guarantee the service. If your drain field fails again within 2 years, we will come back and restore your drain field again for free. You won't find any drain field installers offering a similar guarantee. The reality is that only 1 in 20 drain fields once restored fail within in the first 5 years, and many last much longer.

How does it work?

We use a specialized deep soil aeration machine to force large volumes of air into the ground around your drain field lines. This air creates tens of thousands of tiny cracks throughout the soil around the drain lines making it possible for the drain lines to drain freely again.

Imagine your septic drain field as a filter that slowly clogs over time with naturally occurring bacteria. This bacteria builds up over time to form a solid layer of organic matter that prevents the water from draining into the soil.

Our process does not bypass the proper function of a drain field or endanger the ground water. By injecting compressed air into the soil throughout the drain field, we break up the layer of organic matter restoring the drain field to a similar state it would have been in after a year or two of use.

Does it work? Most definitely. We are so confident, we offer a Satisfaction Guarantee with a 2 year warranty on the drain field rejuvenation. If the process doesn't work for you, we will refund 50% of your money or apply 50% of what you paid towards a drain field replacement.

The only evidence (other than the fact that your drain field is working again) that the restoration has been completed will be dozens of 1.5" holes approximately every 4 feet throughout the drain field area.

Not only will you be happy with the results, you will be happy with the service. We take pictures every time we perform a job to prove that we did what we said we were going to do and send them to our customers by e-mail or drop box. We always show up when we say we will show up while wearing a clean, tucked in uniform. Once finished, we leave the site in as clean and orderly fashion as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

 Will it work every time?
In the Outer Banks area, the process works MOST of the time. In cases where the drain field is failing due to root intrusion, or pipes have been crushed due to traffic on the drain field area it probably will not work long-term. We perform a septic audit on each and every system to ensure that it is the right course of action for you before doing anything.

How do I pay?
We gladly accept all common forms of payment including credit and debit cards, cash, check and money order directly from the property owner or the property maintenance company.

We try to make life easy for you. Septic Doc will e-mail or text you an electronic invoice where you can pay with a credit or debit card and/or mail a physical invoice. We prefer to do business paper-free so if you are happy with electronic invoices that is our preference.

Is this legal?
Yes. There are no laws in North Carolina forbidding aerating your drain field area using compressed air.

What if I have received a Notice of Violation requiring a repair permit from the local health department?
This is a grey area, if you communicate clearly with the health department that you are attempting to rejuvenate the drain field by aerating the drain field, they may not require you to pull a repair permit or replace the drain field if the system improves. We help owners communicate clearly with the local health departments to ensure that any action we take is acceptable to them.
